Saturdays and Sundays

These one-hour walks on the wild side are fantastic for audiences of all ages. Choose from two daily tour topics (Saturday and Sunday) to enhance your Zoo visit. Your knowledgeable guide will entertain you with fun facts, animal stories, and an education program animal encounter that will make you feel like a Zoo insider. 

10:00 to 11:00 am – Love is in the Air Tis’ the season for a little romance. On this tour we’ll be talking about animal social structure, impressive displays to attract a mate and check-in on our most recent Zoo births! Tour includes a stop at the Penguin Feeding and Keeper Talk!

FULL Noon to 1:00 pm – Captivating Carnivores Do you eat all your veggies? If not, you may have more in common with a komodo dragon than you thought! On this walk we focus on the carnivores of the animal kingdom and how their diet is specially adapted for their unique habitats. Tour includes a stop at the Polar Bear Keeper Talk!

2:00 to 3:00 pm – Do You See What I See?  Get ready for an adventure exploring different kinds of camouflage! All over the world we see animals attempting to blend in with each other, with their environment, and even mimic other animals and plants! Learn how camouflage works and how each strategy suites an animal’s specific needs. Tour includes a stop at the Big Cat Keeper Talk! 


SFZS Members: $7 

Non-members: $10

Kids 5 and under: free
