St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Stroll

17-Mar-2019

Get your jig on and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the greenest place in the Bay Area!  Not only do we have 100 acres of green space, dozens of green animals, and a vast portfolio of environmentally conscious programs, we’re also hosting a Shamrock Stroll. Follow along the self-guided tour to find lucky shamrocks featuring fun facts about our animals and get a history lesson on the Irish in our animals!  Guests can get their Irish on and come wearing green!  Enjoy live music and Irish entertainment as well as traditional Irish adult beverages (non-alcoholic also available) at The Shamrock Bar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the Lemur Café.

If green space is your thing, explore seven distinct gardens full of native and exotic plants within the park.  From birds to snakes, a variety of green animals can be found in the Tropical Rainforest & Aviary, like the plumed basilisk and emerald tree boa. For all things green, stop by the Zoo and soak up the fun!

The event is free with paid Zoo admission.
