California-based tortoise biologist Dr. Linda Cayot gives an engaging presentation about giant tortoises and other amazing, threatened wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. Linda is the Science Adviser for Galapagos Conservancy, the only U.S.-based organization fully dedicated to supporting conservation in the archipelago. Her work for Galapagos spans over 30 years. Linda will describe the innovative efforts of an international group of individuals and organizations to ensure the long-term conservation of giant tortoises and other species found only in Galapagos through groundbreaking research, ambitious projects to eliminate introduced species, and long-term management programs to ensure recovery of threatened populations.
