Feedings & Presentations Feedings In general, many of our animals are fed in the morning and late afternoon, but below are some of our most popular pre-scheduled feeding attractions. Grizzly Bear Feeding 11:00 a.m. See our grizzy sisters, Kachina and Kiona, enjoy treats at Hearst Grizzly Gulch. Penguin Feeding 2:30 p.m. Watch keepers hand-feed each and every one of our Magellanic penguins on Penguin Island. American White Pelican Feeding 3:30 p.m. Come to Pelican Beach and meet Angel and Devil, two charming pelicans that arrived here from a rescue facility after losing wings due to fishing lines in the wild. Programs Throughout the Zoo Docents You’ll find uniformed docents throughout the Zoo who are eager to answer your questions, tell stories and share their wealth of information with you. Biofact Carts Docents and youth volunteers staff carts filled with biofacts of many different animals. See and touch fur, bones, teeth, and learn about the fascinating physiology of animals.
