Pierre Fidenci is a world explorer and conservationist. One of his long-term projects addresses the undiscovered biodiversity of the southern Philippines with emphasis on freshwater turtles. Many Philippine islands remain poorly studied and unprotected despite their incredible endemic biodiversity. Pierre Fidenci, President of Endangered Species International, will share for the first time the natural history of the endangered turtles of the Philippines. You will discover one of the most endangered turtle species in the world observed in the wild for the first time in 2001 and learn about many fascinating elusive amphibians, a unique wilderness, and vanishing indigenous cultures. Pierre Fidenci is strongly engaged in preserving one of the last untouched places of Asia. Reception sponsored by Black Swan Vineyards.
