Please join us for the first lecture in "Celebrate Raptors!" an autumn 2009 series of talks in honor of the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory's 25th anniversary. Over the last few years, the Falcon Research Group, led by Bud Anderson, has used GPS satellite transmitters to track nine migrant Peregrine Falcons "wintering" in Chile. The Southern Cross Peregrine Project team has been able to learn more about the winter ranges, spring departure dates, length of migration, migration routes, arrival dates and nest site locations of peregrines than ever before. Come hear Bud's amazing stories of the travels and travails of Peregrine tracking throughout the Americas.
