Lunar New Year* February This popular annual event includes music, crafts and animal education, all in the Asian spirit of ringing in the New Year with lots of family fun! Profile and reach: 7,500 family-oriented culture-lovers. ZooFest April This unique event is the Zoo’s annual gala and a much-anticipated event on the San Francisco social calendar. It captures the essence of exotic travel in a relaxed and entertaining setting. Guests are encouraged to dress in accordance with the theme! Profile and reach: 2,500 hand-selected invitees and 600 high-profile business and civic leaders. Party for the Planet* April This important event offers environment-themed games and crafts for children, and displays by dozens of local conservation and environmental organizations. Profile and reach: 10,000 environmentally-conscious Bay Area residents. KidsFest at the Zoo September This is the Bay Area’s premier event for families. Guests experience exciting up-close encounters with animals, special wildlife presentations, continuous musical and theatrical entertainment, complimentary food and beverages, and free rides on the Little Puffer and Dentzel Carousel. Profile and reach: 3,500 hand-selected households (2,000 attendees) that represent a high demographic plus 30,000 Member households. Boo at the Zoo October This is a full day of high-spirited, safe and not-so-scary Halloween fun! Costumed kids and families have a wild time trick-or-treating, seeing the animals gobble up special pumpkin treats or joining in interactive games with prizes. Profile and reach: 8,000-10,000 trick-and-treat-minded parents and small children. Reindeer Romp* Thanksgiving Day through New Year’s Day We welcome back the Zoo’s four favorite reindeer — Velvet, Holly, Belle and Peppermint. Festivities include live entertainment and crafts. Profile and reach: 60,000 holiday-minded parents and young children. Permanent Naming Opportunities, Exhibit Sponsorship and Special Campaigns Unique on-site recognition - including opportunities to name specific exhibits and other spaces - is available to partners who contribute to the transformation of the Zoo. Educational Outreach The Nature Trail, ZooMobile, Wildlife Conservation Lecture Series, Senior Stroll and other education programs provide wildlife education to a wide audience. Conservation Programs The Zoo's conservation programs such as Bald Eagle Recovery, San Francisco Garter Snake Recovery, Species Survival Programs and international conservation partnerships help preserve the vitality and diversity of the Earth’s wildlife. On-Site Product Sampling and Tabling The Zoo’s Friend and Taube Family Entry Village and other attractive settings are available for partners to present their products and services to Zoo visitors. In-Kind Gifts and Product Donations Donations of animal food, utility vehicles, medical equipment and other products and services offset the Zoo’s operating costs and are thankfully received and recognized.
