Help Us Name Our Bear Cubs!

An opportunity of a lifetime – name our two black bear cubs! SF Zoo & Gardens has provided a permanent home for these orphaned cubs, rescued from the wilds of Alaska following the April 2017 repeal of wildlife protection laws (see H.J.Res.69, sponsored by Alaskan Rep Don Young).

Goal: Lifetime Care for Cubs

$60,000

We felt their fresh start in our Golden State warranted new names and are looking for the "most enthusiastic" of bidders to name them by participating in our on-line auction.

Here's how:
Funds raised will help support these bears through their lifetimes as well as support the Zoo's conservation and education programs. Once your bid has been confirmed we will ask you to submit “appropriate” names for the cubs. Current bidding begins at $5,000.
