Hours

We're open 365 days a year. Come see over 1,000 exotic, endangered, and rescued animals and majestic, peaceful gardens full of native and foreign plants.

 

Spring/Summer Hours 

Open daily 10:00 am to 5:00 pm 
Admission into Zoo ends at 4:00 pm. Members may enter until 4:30 pm. 
Children ages 14 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult while on Zoo grounds.

Free Days for San Francisco Residents

Once each month, we offer free admission to San Francisco residents. Please check the Calendar of Events for confirmation of free days. Upcoming Free Days are May 7, June 4, and July 9. Proof of San Francisco residency is required and can be established by providing the following:

Military Discount

Retired and active military personnel receive San Francisco resident rates (free admission on SF Resident Free Days only applies to San Francisco residents with proof of residency).

Docent Tours

Our docent guides lead educational walking tours for school groups of 15 or more (subject to availability). Tours are available during the months of September through March (subject to change) and tour topics correlate with current California Science Content Standards (SCS).
